This isn't the first time her outfit drew attention at a Grand Slam. Her US Open and French Open outfits, last year, had raised eyebrows as well. The tennis star said the yellow dress was inspired by 'Alice In Wonderland'. 'The outfit is inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Yeah, don't laugh,' she said. 'But it's kind of about a surprise, because when Alice goes down the hole, the rabbit hole, she finds all these things that are so surprising. 'So it's called the Wonderland dress. It was fun.'

The Dane wore a new, Stella McCartney-designed ballerina dress at the first Grand Slam of the year. The white and pink is softer and more feminine than the gray armadillo dress that made Wozniacki look like the female Terminator at the US Open.
Maria Sharapova Yet another glam girl. Maria Sharapova, one must admit, was seen in a better outfit, compared to what she wore last year. Last year, the Grand Slam winner signed an eight-year contract with Nike worth 43 million, making her the world's most lucratively endorsed sportswoman. The grey and orange dress with racing back and adjustable straps is one of the outfits from her 2011 Nike collection and is unusually traditional for the tennis player who has a reputation for daring outfits. She wore a strangely formal blue dress with a stripey green netting over the top in Australia last year.
Ana Ivanovic Ana Ivanovic, who had a forgettable run in the Aus Open this year too, did manage to raise some eyebrows with her adizero, a royal purple with green outfit. The Serb was beaten 3-6, 6-4, 10-8 by Russian Ekaterina Makarova Her US Open pink dress, made by Adidas, though had fashion critics raving and she went one better with an orange outfit in Rome and Madrid. Off court, Ivanovic has been known to experiment with different patterns and loud colours.
Rebecca Marino Rebecca Marino of Canada is the new chick on the block. She is tall, and along with Argentinean Gisela Dulko was dubbed the 'battle of the babes' at the ongoing tournament in Melbourne. In a round-necked outfit, to say the least, she looked simple. She came up with a good show in her opening round match against Francesca Schiavone, but it was not enough to prevent a 3-6, 7-5, 7-9 defeat.
